Auto and Work Injury Specialists

Chiropractic care benefits all who have a desire to be healthier and have their bodies work at its optimum potential. Nothing can be more damaging than a traumatic accident from a car or on the job. These cases are very challenging and require the help of a well-trained chiropractor in these areas. Dr. Resendez has attended several post-graduate seminars on this field and every day works on several accident victims.

It is very important for people to understand when your body receives physical trauma it is imperative to get a physical form of treatment as soon as possible. A big mistake people often make is taking drugs or sitting and waiting hoping the pain will go away on its own. Even if one has an accident and feels no pain it is imperative to get a thorough chiropractic exam. Often an accident can be like a tumor, you don’t feel anything in the early stages and when you do feel the effects, which can be 10-20 years later, it is often too late and no full recovery can be expected.

If one does feel pain after an accident it is even more important for someone to get a thorough chiropractic examination as soon as possible. The sooner we can initiate chiropractic care the faster your body will heal and one can resume a normal course of life as one did before the accident.

Chiropractic care offers a natural solution to these types of accidents. Drugs will just cover up the symptoms and leave the underlying problem to get worse. When a vertebra in the spine gets out of alignment it will cause pressure on the nerves from the spinal cord. This is called a vertebral subluxation (see side bar under "subluxation"). Once the subluxation is present it will cause problems to the nerves, muscles, ligaments, tissues, bones, discs, and tendons.

We need to understand pain is a warning signal of a more serious problem. Taking drugs for pain is like removing the battery from the fire alarm once the alarm has gone off. The alarm is not the problem, it’s a signal to tell you there is a fire. The same can be said of symptoms. Removing them with drugs will just cause more serious problems to flourish later on in life.

Most Auto insurance pays for your chiropractic bill and if you have a third party claim against the driver who caused the accident we can recommend an attorney to ensure you get a good settlement for your pain and suffering and to help you get your car fixed as soon as possible.

By law everyone who gets in a work related injury is entitled to free chiropractic care that the employers workers compensation insurance company will pay for regardless of whose fault the accident was. A qualified workers compensation attorney (whom we can recommend) may be able to also get the injured worker a settlement for his pain and suffering.
